Samsung Spinpoint F3 "HD103SJ"

Solution
I think the "MAX.500GB Formatted Capacity Per Disk" is actually the platter density, it means it has 500GB per platter higher density per platter is usually considered a good thing.

The "Capacity * 750 GB" is probably an error since the HD103SJ is a 1TB drive (however, once formatted Windows will probably report ~930GiB free because of the TiB vs TB moronic difference).
