I have used this 256GB drive for a while now as my second drive, but about a month ago it stopped showing up in file explorer.
So I went to disk management and it sees a disk but it doesn't know anything about the disk.
In Command Prompt the disk shows up as an online disk with a 0 byte Volume.

Could anyone tell me what is going on?

Did you check your drive's health? Crystaldiskinfo or HD tune would do it for you.
I think your not getting it.
Its not showing up as a usable drive windows does not recognize it and the bios says unknown disk.
It has no disk letter like C: D: E: ect
Its not showing up in File Explorer no where,
Only in disk management, Command Prompt or as a blank in samsung magician

It says no Volume
and if I clean it disappears and when I restart my pc its back with the same problem
To be more sure, try the following on cmd:
  • diskpart
  • list volume
  • select volume # (# is your disk no.)
  • format fs=ntsf quick
if this didn't work, in elevated cmd try this:
  • chkdsk #: /f/r/x (# is your disk letter)
It might take several hours, but if it still does nothing then I'm afraid it's probably dead.
