Good evening :)

I have just installed my brand new 970 Evo on my MSI Z270 Gaming M5 motherboard and installed Windows 10 Pro on it. I have installed Samsung Magician and it states that the condition is good, AHCI is enabled and it is plugged in a PCIe Gen.3 x4 interface. I installed both the most recent firmware and the NVMe Driver from Samsung's website.
Unfortunately when I benchmarked it with AS SSD, it kept consistently underperforming and I have no idea why nor how to fix it. I have already tried out both M.2 PCIe slots on the motherboard and it doesn't make a difference.

Here is a picture of the benchmark results: https://ibb.co/dc1NEe

I would really appreciate any assistance you guys can give me.
With best regards,

Lennart

Hey Lennart,
I also have the 970 EVO and if I could ask you a question?
You mentioned AHCI is enabled. Is that in your bios?
I can get my computer to recognize the drive under device manager but I am not able to see it under my computer or access the drive to save files etc. Any suggestions?
I too have downloaded the NVMe driver etc and Magician says the drive is good etc.
Thanks for your time.
