Question Samsung SSD EVO 860 500GB

pic1 pic2 pic3 I just got a drive that is Samsung SSD EVO 860 500GB, but it has 1TB space on it and Samsung magician doesn't recognise it. Drive is fully working. Please see attached pictures

What do other tools report, eg CrystalDiskInfo?

1. Screencap of your current Disk Management window, please
2. Register the serial number at Samsung Warranty.

"912GB" is not what a "1TB" drive would report as. In File Explorer, it should show as 931GB, like this:

I have seen Samsung knockoffs report odd storage capacity.

A likely cause of this.
Wrong capacity, and nothing that relates to a real capacity.

thanks for your help, it seems it is reading/reporting space error. after i fill the disk with 400 and something GBs i get a message that disk is full.

What did Samsung say when you tried to register the serial number in their warranty system?

seems to be easy to do it for USA but for EU was different so i gave up, i have returned the ssd. thx for help guys
