upgraded to a new Samsung 250Gb 850 EVO SSD. I also did a fresh Windows 10 install on it. However after I managed to download and install a couple of drivers (nvidia, built-in soundcard and samsung magician) windows started giving out BSOD after several seconds after startup. I managed to rollback to a restore point before the drivers (so, basically a clean OS), but it doesn't help. I have read almost everything there is on the internet yet I can't identify the problem. I tried changing every bios setting, trying running the CPU and RAM even at lower speeds (thought I was overheating them?), etc.
All I get is this:
SYSTEM SERVICE EXCEPTION
WHAT Failed: ks.sys
Windows 10 boots fine from my older HDD. I checked the new SSD for errors (using standard Windows tool) and everything was ok.
I also tried reinstalling windows on the SSD again, changing sata ports, but I keep running into the same BSOD!
By now I have already spent more than 10 hours on this. Really frustrated!! Please help!
System specs:
I7 930
Gigabyte GA-X58A-UD3R
12Gb 1333MHz RAM (forgot the brand)
MSI Gaming X GTX1070 8Gb
