Hey guys,
I'm going to buy a new SSD soon, and I've heard a lot about the quality of samsung ssds and how they are the best on the market. However, because they are about $50 to $60 more than other consumer SSD's and I want to save as much money as possible, I would like to know how the Samsung 850 EVO 500 gb SSD compare with other consumer SSD's like Crucial, PNY, Kingston, etc. For normal day to day use (booting up, playing games,), will there be any real benefit of going with a Samsung 850 EVO SSD instead of a different "lower quality" SSD like Kingston's, PNY's, or Crucial's?

Thanks. Appreciate the help.

its not so much the quality that is better. its the performance that is better. yes, samsung makes some of the best nand and memory, most regular people won't notice much of a difference because read speeds can be very similar to samsungs drives and that's what make your computer feel "snappy" and games load faster. its when you get into intensive workloads and random writes where the cheaper "value" drives tend to suffer a bit. some can slow down to less than an HDD in some cases
