Hello everyone

Am pretty new to this community I just I can't figure something about this monitor Samsung SyncMaster 2433BW.

it's an old monitor that has only two ports, DVI-D and VGA. I was able to use VGA it works fine but the only thing I don't like with vga is that image quality is too bad, not even hd. I heard dvi-d can run good resolution which is it 1920x1200. but my PC video card had dvi-i 24+5 and monitor is dvi-d 24+1. I still didn't buy a dvi-d 24+1 cable because I'm not sure if would it work and run the full of resolution of the monitor.

My question: does dvi-d 24+1 cable work with the dvi-i 24+5 on my video card and running the full quality image of my monitor? Thanks guys in advance.

Solution
DVI-I is just a DVI + VGA combo port. You can use DVI cables with it and connect to DVI ports, or get a VGA adapter and connect to VGA ports.
