I just recently sent my T260 in for service. 2/12/10
Here's what my Monitor was doing after 8 months from purchase, this started.
While Playing a game or surfing the web or using Indesign the monitor would black out / power off then cycle on, showing the Samsung logo, then going to the DVI Connection logo then the screen would come back on. It could /would do this 1, 2 , 3 times in a row. Then it would be good for a day or week...
I have a battey backup that it was plugged into, I switched it to the outlet from the wall, same issue. I also have another circuit for the lights in the room and ran an addtional outlet from them just to test the power, same issue. I sent my Monitor in for repair to Samsung's authorized service center: "Far East Service" 350 Gotham Parkway Carlstadt, NJ 07072-2410
(201) 355-2126
I sent them 3 Pages of Testing notes, my system specs and the convo with the samsung tech rep who said they never heard of this before and to send it it for repair.
I sent the monitor in the Orignal shipping box very carefully packed BTW, I get it back in a "Refurb" box with the base plate rubbing the back of the monitor from shipping and have an awesome scuff mark now.

The packaging was very poor - So after plugging in my monitor, 1 hour 45 min later it did it again...I'm sent Samsung a nice email along with some poor feedback... I'm very unhappy with the whole experience. I'm waiting to see if it continues and will be filing another repair ticket. I love Samsung Products I feel the make Good stuff at a great price point, but this has put the breaks on any future purchases.
The Monitor was operated (for testing) with No Screen Saver, No Power Saving Schemes, at 1920x1200 Native Res.
Operating system: Windows 7 64 bit. ALL DRIVERS ARE up to date. - I consider my PC knowledge 8/10
I also ran it with Vista and had the same problems.
This is not a power supply or video card issue as I ran my Samsung 22" as a test monitor with absolutly no issues.
Also The Monitor is getting signal, it just simply powers off and on. - NOTE I was able to turn the monitor on and off from the "touch switch" 1/4" sometimes 3/8" away from the actual panel without touching the monitor. It's a stupid feature, if they wanted a smooth look they could have just placed the button on the underside.
I paid $400. for this and a year later I get a repair with the same issue and nice scuff mark on the back... Awesome Samsung! your earning my trust for the 58" TV.. Sony's Looking alot better! and LG for the Wash/Dryer... oh and that Samsung Fridge, I'll can that one too... Plus I plan I stepping on my D__N samsung Flip Shot phone...
This Kind of stuff pisses me off!
IF I get resolve I will be back to preach, for now it's a waiting game. - Yeah for Warranty Work!
