Samsung Tab 4 won't turn on or hard reset

Hi, sorry if this is in the wrong cat. btw.

I have a samsung tab 4 7", it suddenly won't turn on anymore except on occasion where it will display a message of "H/W Revision 0.3". I have struggled to find any real information about this.

So far i have tried to hard reset and it won't respond, also i have tried to connect it to my PC using multiple cables and the PC wont even register that a device is connected (used more then one Pc for this too).

Would appreciate any advice, thanks.

There are two things you could try. First, you could see if you could get into Recovery Mode. You press and hold Volume Up + Power + Home Button all at the same time for like 5 seconds. Once there you can do a factory reset.

If that doesn't work... then your only option would be to see if you can make it into Download Mode. You apply the same method but press the Volume Down instead of up. Once there you can perform a "soft brick" recovery for your tablet. If you aren't able to get there either... then your tablet is "hard bricked" and pretty much a lost cause. BTW, hopefully you have a charge left in the battery.

Have already tried the first option and I have put charge into the tablet, I will message back with results on the second part

EDIT: Just tried the second part, a single white line has appeared across the centre of the screen, i suppose that isnt right? Will leave on charge overnight just in case and try again in the morning, I will update on the situation then. Thanks again

Out of curiosity, is your tablet rooted?

It wasn't rooted, I have left it on charge overnight and tried the button combinations again, I think the battery may be dead.
