Here begins my rant and hoping for a possible suggestion from the community, although I'm pretty sure that nobody here has any better suggestions.

So let's start off with the fact that I've never liked Apple. That being said, the company I work for has about 50 Samsung tablets in use by our drivers. (We are a transit company). We have them deployed in IBM MaaS360 for our management platform, and it works flawlessly. Most of our drivers are older folk who are not very good with technology, so when an issue arises, it's very easy for me to remote access into the tablets without their input and fix any issue they're having.

Now when it comes to switching to iPad's instead of Android based tablets. It's a no-go. Apple business manager is a mess to get set up, and even with MDM server access, You still cannot remote access the iPad's without the end user accepting prompts and notifications to do so... Our drivers usually do not have the time to pull over and call for instructions of where to tap to allow me to gain access tot their device. Apple security is ridiculous. You are imprisoned in their operating system. I should have freedom over the device that I own, and this is exactly why I think apple sucks so bad. Especially for cooperate use.

I'm probably just going to tell me boss to send back the iPad's and just get better Samsung tablets. The whole reason he wanted to switch is because we use Galaxy Tab A's which are kinda crappy.

Seems for your stated purposes and implementation, the Android (Samsung) devices meet your needs well enough.

I will say this regarding iPads, like Apple or not, many organizations do figure them out and use them very well. So, help to get to where you want them does exist.

I prefer Android devices as well, but didn't want you to think that they are the only way to skin this cat.

I agree, which I'm probably going to tell my boss that's the route we should stay with, but he really wanted the iPad's to work for what we needed.

Are you suggesting there IS a way to achieve the unattended access that we need?

Should be. I am not an expert with these tools, but my previous office could access our iPads without my input, as well as monitor its use.

This seems a question for an Apple forum, not a lot of those experts on this site.
