Question Samsung TV loses its TV timer settings

I want to use the TV timer to turn my TV on by itself daily at a certain time, but the problem is I can't turn the socket off for a period of time and flick it back on because the TV timer will lose its settings and not come on the next day.

We're going to need a little more information. Can you parse the model for your Samsung TV? For all intents and purposes, if you have the wall socket shut off, there's no standby power for the TV in order for it to revive itself at a scheduled time/date.

Universal remote control systems like Logitech' Harmony (yes, pricey) can do that.
