I have a Samsung 22 inch TV that I've been using as a monitor for my computer for the past year. Just now (like literally a few minutes ago) I noticed a thin blue line running down the screen on the right side. Recently I've noticed that my speakers have been picking up signal from somewhere and that that signal is amplified when bring my phone or tablet closer to the headphone jack. Do you think that what ever is causing interference with my speakers is what has caused my TV to act up? A few days ago I got a cable (coaxial) modem installed and it sits underneath my TV not sure if that's relevant. Currently I unplug my TV from its power and will see if the problem has resolved. The model I believe is a UN22F500 or something similar.

I plugged it into a different socket away from the modem and it's still here

So if you disconnect it from the pc and attach it to cable the line is still there?

You're going to want to first make sure you don't have a bad cable, then try to update your monitor's driver. If it's up to date, try rolling it back and see if you have any change.

that won't fix the problem as a transistor that controls that line is stuck in blue mode. a customer of mine had the same problem but with 3 lines. I gave him a program that dealt with stuck pixels that he ran multiple times plus massaging the screen which got rid of those lines. give it a try.

I appreciate all your advice, but I figured out I have a three year warranty on the TV so I'm just sending it in to get it fixed. I looked pretty rigorously and found no evidence to suggest my modem caused this... I'm still on the hunt to find what the heck is screwing with my speakers though
