ive got a 2009 Samsung 1080p 52inch 60 hz

so not that bad right? has 3 hdmi ports.

recently the screen has started randomly placing green pixels in places where dark shadows should be and certain values of grey. what is causing this to fail? I opened it up and have some pictures of the internal pcb but power delivery looks fine. no popped caps or burnt connections.

does this new a new display board? and if that is the case is it even possible to find such a part? most people just trash old TV's I think.

I would assume that as a new one is $300, and would have better viewing angles etc...

heres the weird part though. I pluged it back together after disassembly of the pcb interconnects and its working perfectly again.... and when it does mess up, its always different pixels that change to green. most stay normal color but as the picture displayed changes, the hot pixels change to only represent the grey areas.

just out of curiosity at this point what causes this failure? digitizer? caps don't provide clean power anymore? the arm chip burnt out?
