what's your previous monitor size and res? afaik, going from 1080p to 1440p is a big leap in visual quality on 27~28", BUT going from 1440p to 4K is little difference in visual quality in 27~28" size. that being said, going from FHD to 4K is very big leap in visual quality no matter the size. Conclusion, in that size (27~28") u won't notice the difference between visual quality (cmiiw), so you might want to wait for bigger size (32"++) if you want 4K or go straight for 1440p right now if you want that size. Also, how you usually play? if you put your monitor on your desk and you sit in front of it, 32" is not comfortable for your eyes to see everything ( I did it like that and play DoTA2 on it, terrible and tiring.lol) so might as well gunning for the 27~28" size; if you play from afar, like using wireless set up, then bigger screen (32"++) is better. I still don't know about movies res tho, afaik even Blu ray film still on FHD, so going 4K for that screen size is too much I think (well, not that you can't afford it judging from your rig.lol).

Ferooxidan, thank you for your answer :) I'm currently using the 27" Asus VG278HE. 1920x1080 @144hz. Game quit a bit, used to play wow, normally play Titanfall / Tomb Raider / Battlefield. it's def slowed down due to the summer and awaiting certain games to come out, the new Batman, Evolve, The Division, Destiny (if it's released on PC) 1440P was def amazing, I've played at that resolution for sometime before building my newest rig. I was running a 27" IMAC and it was the first time i played at 1440P and going back to 1920x1080 was like going from Blue ray to VHS 🙁 Rog Swift seems like a DEF must have, just not sure how much im gonna miss out on 4k.... One of those things I wish I could go into a retail store and see a game being played on it :) Kinda leaning towards the Swift bc I love playing games on ULTRA settings with bull AF + AA..... the more eye candy the better 😉 right about now im getting 100-160 FPS depending on the game in SLI mode and I know that would get cut down by ALOOOOOOT with 4k.

I have the Samsung U28D590D 4K monitor and I would said go with the Asus PG278Q ROG SWIFT for a better gaming experience over the 4K monitor. I am going to pick up the Asus monitor once it is released. Before the Samsung 4K @60Hz I had the Asus VG278 120Hz and as smooth as the Samsung feels in games with the right settings(v-sync on cap fps in games to 59 or 58 almost no input lag that way) and it does look really nice, but it take a lot to run games at max setting if you like and want all the eye candy settings on, with two 780ti you would be ok in most games if you want the 58-60 fps constantly in others you'll probably get some frame rate drops depending on whats happening on screen. (I'm running i7-3930K @ 4.6, 16GB 2133, and running 3 x GTX TITAN(original not the black) I have a overclocking monitor from Korea its 2560x1440 IPS panel and I can run it @105Hz before it would have screen burn-in and it is great so looking at a monitor that is made for 2560x1440 @60Hz, 120Hz, 144hz, 3D vision, G-Sync and a proper stand and mounting options. The Samsung has no vesa mount and the only thing it has for adjustments is tilt and very little at that. So yeah again I am going to be picking up a Asus ROG SWIFT but the only thing is the price! the Samsung for me was $550 CAD(ranges $550 - $650) and the SWIFT is said to be $799 USD but may sale as high as $1000 USD. Just my two cents from someone that has and uses the Samsung 4K monitor for gaming hope the info helps. ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2j2ZAGrf9k&list=UUoF9ruoGrs2l9MFbtdSlVKQ )
