Hello everyone, I am building a config and I was thinking about buying the Samsung U28D590D 4K UHD monitor. I will be using a MSI GTX 970, I am planing on gaming on it ( I know i wont be able to run 4K on ulta setting but I dont really mind,medium/high is also fine) and I would like to if that monitor is any good for gaming. I know it has a 60Hz refresh rate and 1 ms response time but Ive heard that one cant really see much difference between 60 and 144Hz so I dont mind the 60 HZ but I would like to how does gaming on 1080p work. Does the monitor upscale and does is do a good job? Will i have to sacrifice any part of the screen?

However, if you play 1080p on it now, you'd have to tweak the scaling option a bit to fit the picture onto the frame of the monitor, 1080p will work, you just have to tweak some settings. Also, change the DPI to about 150-175% to make the texts and icons to a "normal" size. Furthermore, I'd get the Asus monitor instead of you want built in speakers, and you will have to use displayport 1.2 because the monitors only has HDMI 1.4.
