Good day!

I have a Samsung U28E590D UHD monitor, which is working perfectly under Windows in its native resolution (3840x2160).
If, however, the resolution is changed to e.g. 2560x1440 when playing a game, the monitor disconnects seemingly at random and then reconnects again after about a second.

Under Linux (Ubuntu 20.04) the same happens, but also at 3840x2160 when fractional scaling is enabled. I don't know if the problem occurs with integer scaling, but using integer scaling is not an option for me anyway.
Without scaling everything works just fine.
I have tried Wayland and Xorg, the problem still persists.

I have also tried a different Display Port cable, which didn't change anything either.
Sometimes, the image shifts a few pixels for just a brief moment, like the signal isn't being sent correctly to the display.
I thought about it being a GPU problem (I have an AMD R9 290), but why would it only occur on non-native resolutions then?

I'm really looking forward to your answers, this is making my Linux experience much worse!
Thanks!
