It is very misleading because there are known names for 3 bit drives and Samsung trying to hide the bad endurance and downgrading to TLC.Any NAND with 2+ levels is MLC. TLC is just a different name that makes it easier to understand.

Right now there isn't a huge difference in performance between TLC and MLC. Endurance is neither here nor there. You can get plenty of TLC drives with 1DWPD endurance. My guess is the Samsung drive will easily work just as long as the previous MLC generation. The only difference is that TBW is what they will warranty. It is very misleading because there are known names for 3 bit drives and Samsung trying to hide the bad endurance and downgrading to TLC.
Not sure if this will be final pricing but it appears that a Dutch vendor posted prices earlier than they should have: https://tweakers.net/nieuws/171562/samsung-onthult-980-pro-ssd-met-pci-e-40-interface-en-tlc-nand-officieel.html
