Question samsung update

hey there
recently i bought a used s9 plus which is snapdragon variant,
i m in lebanon and the device is registered in UAE,
it runs andoid 8.0
i signed into google account and samsung account
when i try to update it manually it show a registration of device the after several minutes it failed
i tray for several times,it refuse immediately and give me failed operation
any help please?
or any idea about what happened?

how are you trying to update the phone? does it actually say there is an update available for it?

manually in the settings
yes it runs android 8 with samsung 9 experience
the available update is the android 9 pie with one ui

no it doesn't say there is the update

why do you believe it should say there is an update? normally updates for phones like samsung are controlled by the wireless carrier not samsung directly

my friend has the older note 8 and he got the one ui and there are no problem
