Well that's interesting. Unless I'm misreading those tests. WD throttled the 970 Evo in nearly every aspect (except when the data write was smaller than the turbo write capacity) and yet the article still recommended the Evo over the WD for the budget option (despite them having the same price, and I believe Samsung was actually more expensive when the article was written) The 970 Pro still managed to pull ahead (barely) So I'm wondering why the article recommended the Evo
