Question Samsung wiped my drive

So I have a 2tb external drive with some stuff on it. I plugged it into my phone S23 Ultra, accessed some of the files, but now plugging it into my pc its been fat32 formatted and only 32gb of the original files are there, in partition manager the rest is unallocated. what do I do. Tenorshare 4DDiG seems to find everything in that partition, but do I really need to spend 50 dollars because my phone wiped it with no warning?

Tenorshare is a second tier tool. These companies seem to spend more time on SEO than they do on product development. Not recommended.

DMDE's free version will probably find your data within a few seconds, and it will recover up to 4000 files of any size from any one folder per click. Its basic version costs US$20.
