Exactly. It started out at $630/1024GB ($0.62/GB) and ended up at $500/1024GB ($0.49/GB), so I'm still trying to figure out what this was supposed to mean:

"Samsung shaved $130 off the price of the 970 Pro 1TB for a new MSRP of $500, or $2 per gigabyte."

Maybe it was suppose to be "$0.12 per gigabyte" for the amount shaved off?.

I was just looking at the pricing of the Samsung 970 series as compared to the 960 series on a number of websites.

And with the new price reductions on the 970 series, they are now cheaper than the 960 series -- which don't appear to have been reduced in price. So I suppose a lot of 960s will be sitting on shelves.

Well is was nice that they dropped the price a bit since they are feeling competition, now only if they would fix some of the other issues. Since they updated NVMe driver days ago I've run into a download limit exceeded on the Samsung site saying try again in 24 hours, what kind of crap is that.
