I hope this is to be a tablet, and not a phablet.
I can't imagine holding a tablet anywhere near as big as a Nexus 7 let alone larger next to my face.

That's just goofy. There's no cool factor in that.

Well, if it is a speaker phone, then I don't see anyone needing to hold it to their face. The do list EDGE (850/900/1800/1900) HSPA+21.1 Mbps, and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps (850/900/1900/2100) in this article; it seems at least some versions of it will be phablets.

Bluetooth will be a necessity if it's a phablet. Although, it would be pretty funny to see people holding these to their heads walking down the street.

8" tablet with network connectivity and the ability to make calls? This is quite an odd device.

I really don't see this as a phone. It's a tablet that can make calls. I'd be baffled if anyone actually gave up their phone and went to this as their primary device. I CAN, however, see this as an awesome small tablet with 3G+WiFi. Price it under $400 without a contract and I see no reason why it won't sell well.

...."GSM network coverage will include EDGE (850/900/1800/1900) HSPA+21.1 Mbps, and HSUPA 5.76 Mbps (850/900/1900/2100)?. Yep its a phablet. Makes my Galaxy Note 1 look puny.

Ok, I might be wrong about that. Can you get 3GB/mo for this device for $30/mo from the deathstar? If so, that OK, but the overage fees are crazy.

[citation][nom]darkavenger123[/nom]What's the point..i already have a Galaxy Tab 7.7 which can make calls. I don't use it to make call...it's crazy...and this is 0.3" bigger...:x[/citation]You don't get it... this is a Galaxy Note, what you have is a Galaxy Tab! Totally different thing!!!

The problem is the Wacom Digitizer for the pen. Mobile processors don't have the juice to drive higher resolutions lag free. Hence you see the pen available only on Surface Pro tablets with full Intel CPU's.

Alot of the resolution in the apple retina display is wasted on the human eye. This should come in around 180 ppi which is respectable.

Splendid

Then they need to correct that...it's not 2010.
