Sandisk Extreme 120GB slow performance

Hi,

I've bought this ssd aprox. two yearw ago if I recall correctly. But the write speeds are extremely slow (when copying large files, I only get 80 mb/s MAX).
Here is some benchmark from ATTO and I've just installed the newest firmware (enzo-r211-120gb).

I know it performed way better in the past and I was wondering if I should return this to get it checked out or if I could do anything about it myself?

Mines still fine. I have to keep offloading stuff though to keep it with 30gb free. I think I'll get a 250gb to replace it soon.

In this case yes, even if I copy from my data disk (3TB HDD, Seagate Desktop HDD ST3000DM001) I get the same results.

As you'd expect - the HDD will only read and write at about 100mB/s. The SSD should be 4 x that.

In bios, its running as AHCI?

Is this your OS drive?

Is its firmware up to date?

Yes, it is running as AHCI
Yes it is, but as I said, it wasn't this slow before, it used to have atleast double the write speed.

You can see in the ATTO tests that its running at 500MB/s.

I'm not sure what you're using to get the 83.5mB/s

What do you mean "using"?
I'm copying a file so I'm using Explorer. I don't know what you mean, sorry.

Windows 8.1. I had the same speeds on Windows 7.

OK. I got W7.

So you've got 2 readings - 500mB/s from ATTO and 84mB/s from Windows Explorer.

Maybe try some other again to compare.
