SanDisk USB 3.0 Flash Drive - robust or not

Despite being a low end computer user I need a flash drive to back things up. SanDisk are reported as best on market but the USB 3.0 Ultra Flair stick I'm looking at has an exposed connection - is it likely to get beat up/broken over time please?

(NB, I'm aware some SanDisks retract into a 'cover' but using these at work I know that the flimsy plastic casing crack real easy).

Also, some SanDisk USBs have both PC & iPad/phone connectivity - I presume you can therefore easily transfer documents & photos between say a PC & an iMac?

Thank you

In my experience, SanDisk is as good as any. Flash is not the most durable medium for backups, but the odds of your backups and the system dying at the same time are pretty low.

Two things. One, why don't you use an external USB 3.0 drive as most folks do? I myself use a USB 3.0 dock and a carton of bare hard drives. Second, good for you for doing backups at all.
