Sandy Bridge B3 Revision Price Increase?

I've read in a few places that the B3 revision of the Sandy Bridge motherboards are being sold at a higher price than their non-B3 counterparts.
If this is true, is it something the manufacturers have done or is it just the retailers?
I live in Australia and all the shops that I plan to buy at have yet to receive the B3 motherboards (and a few are still selling the non-B3 ones).
One other question as well 😀
If I am buying a non-K i5 (and I don't plan on overclocking it), is there any benefit in buying a P67 motherboard over a H67?

The only thing i heard was that the newer z68 chipset will be slighter higher than the H67 and P67 when they hit the market in a few months. However, supply and demand will dictate. Everyone in the know that don't already have these CPU's are dying to get their rig going so I'm sure whatever boards that start appearing now can be sold at a premium, but wait a little while longer for the dust to settle. So far Newegg.com is the only store I know that claims to have them in stock and ready to sell. They have only the Biostar boards - no ASUS, Gigabyte, ASRock, etc.

IMO, if you don't plan on overclocking, then the only advantage in having the P67 board [now] would be if you changed your mind down the road, the P67 would be ready to be overclocked (and may even have enough slots for SLI or Crossfire, which the budget H67 might not have)

Does the H67 allow graphics cards to be linked via Crossfire or SLI in x8/x8 mode? If not, that's yet another big advantage of the p67.

If the H67 only allows two or more PCI-E cards in x16/x4 configuration, you'll notice a considerable performance hit should you try to add a second card.

I don't think there are any H67 boards which allow CrossFire in x8/x8. But not all P67's offer that either. You need to look at the specs for each individual motherboard because there are many P67's that are x16/x4 and don't allow switching to x8/x8.

Anyway, this is a very old thread. It's been 4 months since I built my new system and I ended up going P67.
