Sandy Bridge build... Missing anything?

I think I have my build down. Am I missing something?

Approximate Purchase Date: ASAP!

Budget Range: US $900-$1100

System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming, surfing the internet, watching movies.

Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers, OS(Win 7 Home Premium 64 bit), Case (HAF932), CPU Cooler (Corsair H70), SSD (Crucial RealSSD C300 64Gb).

The one thing I might think about doing differently is instead of getting the 2 HDDs, get 1 of them, and then a second c300 64gb. It would cost you an extra $75, and you could put them in RAID0.

The reason is because unless you are going to fill up that 1TB fast, you can always sit and wait on more capacity. I would be worried about filling up that 64GB with OS and programs much faster than the 1TB with data....

Just my opinion, and I'm probably wrong.

I only plan on putting the OS on the SSD. I may put a couple of games on the SSD. The rest of my programs will run from on the RAID 1 array. I want this set up for data duplication to prevent losing my files in case of a crash.
BTW I picked up that SSD as a Newegg Shellshocker for $99 w/ free shipping. It was quite a steal.

I'd skip the Vengeance as the tall heat spreaders don't do more than "look cool" and will interfere w/ most aftermarket CPU coolers which are needed for serious overclocking. I know ya got the H70 but I worry that if ya wanna squeeze more outta ya CPU, you'll be changing that to one of the better air coolers for more performance.

If ya want CAS 7, ya could invest another $45 for these but that's better suited for a $2k build....the CAS 7's are just coming out so will hold a price premium for a few weeks

The HX850 is a great PSU but the XFX Black Edition is easily its match (both get same 10.0 performance rating on jonnyguru.com) and is $50 cheaper.

With the money saved above, I'd recommend a combo Blue Ray player / DVD writer with prices being what they are today

I did get that SSD! it was a newegg shellshocker on thursday morning for $99!

Thanks for the advice! I'm not going to be doing much overclocking... just enough so I can chuckle at the people that paid $105 more for the 2600k for an extra 100mhz performance boost (Yeah, I have no use for hyperthreading). And, like you said the H70 will fit nicely with those massive heat spreaders. I got the H70 for the rediculous price of free after an item I had purchased and resold to a client at the local electronics store dropped in price $100 and I got a $100 store credit. I knew I was going to be building a PC for myself soon and they didn't have any other upgrade I was interested in (poor selection) so I ended up with the H70. I had planned on putting a Noctua or Scythe Mugen 2 as the cooler before that.

Appparently I'm a Corsair PSU fanboi... so the $50 is my punishment for being a fanboi. :/
