Sandy bridge pentium performance

hi guys, just a query, is it worth getting a sandy bridge pentium? i mean they're cheap (compared to the i3) but what about what AMD have to offer at that price, basically how does the pentium stack up against the other cpu's at its price point (all of them), and furthermore, how would one with a 5670 stack up with Llano, quad core, faster in Ghz but no L3. thanks, i know i'm not specifying which one, i just want an overview of how they perform

They are not good value compared to similar price Athlons there is a full reveiw/comparison here http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/cpu/display/pentium-g850-g840-g620.html gaming performance as you can see is a bit up and down compared to an Athlon X3.
