Does anybody know if the sound card is one of the things that XP looks at when activating to see if you're installing on multiple machines? Basically I want to know if anybody has activated XP and then installed a Santa Cruz successfully. Thanks.

Thanks. I guess I'll just buy the santa cruz now then...The price hasn't moved a penny on newegg for like a month I doubt it will drop soon.

Sounds cards don't drop in price very fast so you have nothing to worry about.

Comp Usa just ran a special for 59.99 I found out today and it ended today. Grabbed the retail for that (plus tax...oh well not as bad as shipping) I suppose they might be running the special in the future again (and if you're on the west coast you can always run over there before they close)

Aw man...how come we weren't informed of that. Oh well...I could've saved four bucks getting it from CompUSA, but I'll just have to settle with what Newegg's got when I get the chance.
