Question Santech N77 (Clevo Barebone), does not turn on >(

Hi Guys,

I have a Santech N77 (Clevo Barebone), 8 years old, and kept in optimal condition.

It has been 1 week that very often I can't turn it on. Only a couple of times the laptop starts correctly.

It turns on and off in half a second.

I have noticed that the battery very often doesn`t charge the laptop but it is always been plugged in.

I have already tried to remove the battery etc but the issue persists.

Do you have any advice? Thank you

1) Are you still using the original battery and charger for the laptop? If not, when were replacements gotten?
2) Is the laptop supposed to be able to be ran without the battery installed (some aren't able to) and plugged in via AC?
3) Is the AC Adapter detected by the BIOS (could be why will shut off and back on)?

All in all, 8 years is a long time for a laptop. It might be time to consider replacing it.
