Question Sanyo TV troubles

I have a Sanyo TV, model DP47460, that when I press the power button there is a click, then after about six seconds the screen turns on, stays blank, and then another click happens and the TV turns off. The power light on the front does come on but also goes off after the six seconds and the click. I can do this three times before it stops completely and the TV does nothing when I press the power button until I unplug it and wait a bit of time. After some time it will then do the whole thing again as stated above. I am leaning towards it being a power supply issue but I am far from knowledgeable on working on TVs so just wanted to get the opinion of someone else who knows more about these issues before I put the money on another power supply.

Could be psu or board issue. Contacting an electronics repair shop whom fix TVs and radios etc would be your best bet as they'll have the equipment to test what's wrong with it.
