Sapphire 3850 to tv

I wanted to use my older PC which has the sapphire 3850 card and hook it up to my tv in my bedroom. The tv is older (picture tube not lcd) and I figured i could have done it just by using an S-Video cable. Is this possible or do I have to use a montior also?

When I plug it in, i get nothing on the tv. I have used 3 different types of adapters for the s-video cable but with same results.

It's possible I've done it to my big screen in the living room. The picture quality wasn't that good. As far as your problem goes I don't no what's goin' on.

Have you enabled "Force TV detect" in the advanced Catalyst?

i took it right off from my lcd screen so no i didn't do that yet. I will try that and see if it works. I just figured it could detetct the physical cord in it and would just start workin.
