[SOLVED] Sapphire 480 8GB or PowerColor Red Devil 580 8GB?

Hi all, currently upgrading my GPU. Have been offered a sapphire 480 and a red devil 580 for £110 and £130 respectively. The reason I'm considering the 480 is due to the amazing reviews of the Sapphire cards, and am hesitant of the powercolor as I have seen some mixed reviews. As I'm buying second hand, I feel safer with the sapphire. They also match very similarly on passmark etc. so I'm undecided. This is upgrading from a gtx 960 2gb.

All 3 of my Sapphire RX 580's failed and had to be replaced by way of RMA.


Not a fan of Power Color cards.

On the other hand, I've had good experience with both PowerColor and Sapphire. Granted, admittedly, older cards.

Have a PowerColor Red Devil 580 8GB on my son's system now, but only got it very recently. So far, so good.

The 580 generally has a performance advantage, but the 480 draws less power.

I've honestly almost entirely heard great things about the sapphire cards. Haven't seen anyone say it died on them. That's unfortunate.

Yeh, as far as I'm aware it's about a 5% performance increase, given they're the same card effectively. I'm not too hassled about power consumption, just looking for the best upgrade from my situation.
