[SOLVED] Sapphire 5600 XT BE

I just got this card and was wondering about some settings. Undervolt GPU and Overclock VRAM? Why or what situations would I need to use these settings? Thanks

Undervolt = tune the card to apply less voltage at any/all given frequencies. This reduces power consumption, which reduces heat output, which reduces fan noise, etc etc.
Undervolting is NOT the same as underclocking (underclocking has all the benefits of undervolting, BUT it incurs a performance penalty because frequency is also reduced)

Overclock VRAM = Similar to overclocking the GPU core, OCing VRAM can improve performance. To what degree depends on the application.

No I don't I was just wondering I haven't played any games yet. I did notice the fan says 0% but the temp is 35 degrees. Which is way better than my other card and I had the fan running almost at 95%.

Modern cards turn their fans off when the temp is under 55-60C to reduce fan noise (it also prolongs the life of the fan)

oh I didn't know that. Goes to show you how long it's been since I had a new card...lol
