A while a go, my friend purchased me a sapphire 5850 Xtreme (Overclockers Exclusive) but It didn't work in my computer. I replaced my PSU and tried it again but still nothing. We've tried it in his computer and it works absolutely fine. What could be the issue? my computer is above the minimum requires for the graphics card.

When I plug it in, I get no signal to my monitor. Can anyone help me out here? just tell me what info you need.

Some older BIOSs require you to manually switch from a previous video output like integrated or PCI to PCI express. Using your previous video card or integrated, enter your BIOS at startup by pressing DEL or F1 or whatever yours requires, and locate that selection and change it. Shut down, change out the card and try it.

That card is PCI-E 2.1 and 2.1 cards sometimes have issues with older 1.x slots. If your motherboard is lower than 2.0 that could be the problem. If so there's a chance there is a BIOS update for the motherboard that deals with the issue. If not then there isn't much you can do.
Another question is whether or not your power supply can handle the card.

I thought PCIe cards of later versions were totally backwards compatible with slots/boards of earlier versions. No?
