sapphire 6670 1gb ddr5 compatibility with old motherboard

I was planning to buy a new graphic card and for my budget the 6670 ddr5 is the best card. I am not sure though if it will be supported by my old motherboard with pcie x16 gen1.0 slot (no bios update available either). Will it work or will it not?

Motherboard: Foxconn irvine gl6e mcp73s01
PSU: Corsair CX430v2

Mostly it will work as pci exp are backward compaitable.Foxcomn has't released update but gpu also works without bios update. If it was gigabyte,asus mobo then it had no issue but can't say about foxconn.
