Sapphire 6950 2GB Catalyst installer crashing

Hi I have been having issues getting the Catalyst drivers installed. I hav done a driver sweep which cleaned out my registry and such.
When I try to install the installer gets to the install/ uninstall screen and when I click either one it then I get an appcrash message from windows.
Also I have tried to use 11.8 and 11.2 versions to make sure it is not a version issue.

Q6600
4GB DDR2 1066 Corsair Ram

You mentioned a 'driver sweep'. I presume you mean you ran Driversweeper from safe mode after uninstalling your CCC/drivers normally. Perhaps you need to clean your system of 'crap' and registry errors more completely. Try running CCleaner. Do both the Clean and the Registry.

Then do a defrag, reboot, and try your drivers again.

Try to install a fresh Win7 (i guess that what you use) because this problem are addressed with Win7 only. Just ensure that the Win 7 DVD is a good copy
Install windows updates first including Win Installer, C++, .NetFrameWork
Then install the CCC the latest CCC is 11.10
