Guys i need help because i cant seem to increase my resolution on my lcd : Acer V193w, currently i am stuck @ 1280 x 760 resolution, whenever i try increase this resolution or my monitor's display hertz from 59 to 60 it says display not supported (even though my Acer V193w lcd is capable of running a 1440 X 900 resolution).

Even when i play some games i have to play them all @ Windowed mode, not @ full screen resolution (bcoz it says Input not supported)

The gpu is fine bcoz i have played games like Far cry 3, Hitman Absloution, Batman Trilogy, Call of Jaurez Gunslinger, Tombraider. (but all of them ran on windowed mode & not on full screen mode expect Batman Arkham Asylum & Arkham City)

Every time i install a new game i have to set the games video mode to windowed mode, like going into to their ini files or configuration files before launching/starting them, (bcoz it says input not supported if i start them), if any game has a launcher then it is easy for me to edit video settings from there, otherwise i have to edit there their ini or configuration files.

i have the latest version of AMD catalyst installed, & i have connected my gpu (Sapphire 7850 2 GB) with DVI-I cable only with my lcd. ( i was using a AMD 2400 HD gpu before, which had no problems what so ever, then i bought the Sapphire 7850 2 GB dual x version) from there on now i can't increase/edit my screen resolution.(bcoz of input not supported msg)

Please suggest me possible solutions very urgently 🙁

thanks mate but i think i have used a similar programs like power strip or riva tuner, but none of them help me.

Hope it works, if not: try to see if your monitor has a driver that might need installing.

i have done that as well, but i think i need to a buy a new Dvi-i or Dvi-d cable now, or a dual channel cable ?

Personally Dual Link DVI is my favorite interface. But if you are going to buy a new cable, try considering Displayport.

hey mate my lcd supports/connects a D-Sub 15-pin wire to connect to pc,
So which new cable i should buy for it ?

Also it supports either D-sub pin connector or a DVI cable, (but it does not specify either DVI-i or DVI-D cable it supports).

i actually haven't updated my windows ever since i changed my gpu from AMD 2400 HD Pro to Sapphire 7850 Dual X version,
Neither have i updated or messed with my bios.

Could either of these option be the solution ?
