Hi to everybody,

Both cost almost the same, the first one at Newegg and the second one at Amazon (not available yet). Here you have the links:

- <A HREF="http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=14-102-268&catalog=48&depa=0" target="_new">Sapphire 9800Pro 128Mb Bulk</A> (the retail version is just $13 more)
- <A HREF="http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/B0000A0USH/qid=1078317348/sr=1-9/ref=sr_1_9/002-9186376-0498432?v=glance&s=pc" target="_new">VisionTek Xtasy 9800Pro 256Mb</A>

I have look at specs and the 256Mb runs with DDR2 and slighty faster. I have read that performance is not really better only in some games at 1600x1200 at maximum quality settings (x6 & x16).

But also I have heard that DDR2 is hotter than DDR, and at least for me Sapphire sounds like a better brand than VisionTek ...

What would be your advice?

Note: No, I have no time to wait for new GPUs, I am from Europe and a friend of mine is currently in USA. So is an opportunity to take advantage of better prices and favorable $/euro exchange rates. My friend will take it for me

Still looking for a <b>good online retailer</b> in Spain :frown:

Go the saphire card, I have a 128 meg pro card from Gecube and I'm more than happy with it. If your friend can find a gecube 9800 pro "extreme", then thats the way to go, faster GPU and RAM for the same price ( both only about 10 MHZ higher but what the heck)
