Hi everyone,
I'm not sure if this is the right section to ask for help regard the issues I will describe:
I recently installed a Sapphire Dual-X HD 7970 graphic card in my pc (it was a gift of a friend of mine) under Windows 10. In the beginning the system was quite unstable with 1-2 random hangs (system halt, blue screen, hard reset) per day and I started to update Win10 and my gfx driver in the hope to fix the problem so I downloaded and installed the latest radeon-software-adrenalin-2020-21.5.2-win10-64bit-legacyasics-june21-legacy.
Now the random system hangs looks like fixed but I came across a new issue: starting a video-call in Skype the GPU fans start an acceleration because the GPU become hotter (checked with the radeon software monitor) and if the video streams (from me and from the person I'm connected to) are not stopped the system halt in a few seconds keeping the GPU fans running at full speed. After that I need to turn-off my pc and wait few seconds before turning it back on.
I searched the internet for a solution and I found other users with similar issues, but still nothing working.
I changed my Skype version taking the one from the Microsoft Store, but the problem remains but I have no trouble running other video-call solution like Google Meet.
Any help will be appreciated, thanks in advance and sorry for my poor english, I'm italian.
