Hi All, I just got a new Sapphire HD 7770 for my computer, but it is not displaying anything when it is in the the PCIe 3.0 slot. However, It works fine in the lower PCIe 2.0 slot... I can put my old 5770 back in the 3.0 slot and it'll work.

I've updated the BIOS on my board, and have poked around the BIOS settings to see If I've missed something, but I can't seem to figure it out.

Here is a link to the board I have: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131826

And this is the Card: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814202023

I'm pretty puzzled. Any thoughts of what I'm missing?

Solution
i'd be tempted to do things one tiny step at a time. with old card in, uninstall all drivers, shut down, remove card, and either (a) boot up using onboard graphics to make sure it's clean or (b) boot up with new card and hope it shows up. i'd be more inclined to go with (a) first, maybe even go as far as rebooting a few times, and then move onto (b)

Thought I'd give this a go. I put the old one back in again, and it's doing the same thing now. So, I'm thinking it's a bad slot. I'm not sure how I messed it up pulling out the old one, but I guess I did.

Thank's for all the help.
