Hello

I have an AMD Sapphire RX 480 nitro+ 4GB GPU. I tried to flash a bios from the Sapphire RX 480 nitro+ 8GB card and i guess i bricked my card, the screen on post is tripled, so I switched the bios switch and my pc is very very slow.

Im asking what to do now. Here is the bios that I flashed (also I made a backup of the factory bios) https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/185767/sapphire-rx480-8192-160809 with ATIFlash 2.74. Here is my gpu http://www.sapphiretech.com/productdetial.asp?pid=A471FEC5-AAA9-482B-81C3-4A7E059A3574&lang=eng.

My pc:
AMD Phenom II X6 - OC'd to 3.00 GHz
8GB DDR3 RAM
AMD Sapphire RX 480 nitro+ 4GB
Asus m5a97 evo r2.0
Deepcool DA500M 500w psu

Thank you in advance.
Best regards :)

If anyone gets stucked at this.

Becouse atiflash doesn't read the gpu (no adapter detected) in dos. If you have a dual bios switch and the pc is bootable on the non flasht bios but it's very sluggish, turn it on (first find the correct bios and download) and turn on atiflash. So when you get to load before you click it swich the bios on the gpu inside of the pc. As of now atiflash will do it's jop and voila, you're pc is back to normal :)

Hi Tode,

Can you please describe in detail the process you mention. It seems i have the same problem but don't know how to fix it... 🙁 Thank you

So you flash the bios on silent mode or performance mode? Let's assume you use silent mode and after flashing the card got bricked...then you put the card in performance mode and boot in windows and right before flashing in ati flash 2.74 with the original bios (from backup) you change the swith again to silent mode right?

You put the gpu in the bios that lets you boot because on the bricked bios you can't even boot in to windows. So when you boot on the other bios when you get to win you do the procedure.

Thank's very much Tode and have great holidays !!

hi tode, a question, when you start win with the bios that is working once you get the atiflash to upload the backup bios at that moment you change the swicht to the chashed bios and make the procedure?

Hi, i was thinking of flashing my sapphire rx480 4GB to 8GB, and tried to switch between performance and silent bios wile running windows and nothing happened the specs for performance bios never changed to silent, only when i restarted the pc the settings change, is this normal?
If i brick my card can i use the bios switch to fix the broken bios or will it flas on the same bios i booted whit?
