Hello.
Quick question. (I hope).
I've got three machines that I am stripping down to two.
The two "new" ones are essentially the same.
Both have:
AMD 3700x processors
32gb ram (identical)
1tb 980 Pro V-NAND SSD (New)
Same Case
Same cooling (traditional fan cooling)
Same 4gb data drives
There are only two meaningful differences...the boards and the graphics cards.
For the boards:
Machine 1 (the one I want to be the "best") has an MSI X570-A Pro Board
Machine 2 has an older AORUS B450 Pro WIFI Board
I am left with deciding where to put my two graphics cards:
**Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 (4gb) (Circa 2017)
**ASUS TUF GeForce GTX 1650 (4gb) (Bought new, but released 2019 i think)
I'm totally fine with understanding all of the nuances of CPUs, Boards, Memory, SSDs, etc., but I confess that I just can't keep up with graphic cards.
I do realize there is likely very little real-world difference between the two, but I might as well put the better one in Machine 1
I do NOT need them for video games.
Both machines are basically desktop productivity machines running 2 monitors, standard office apps, web browsing, occasional light photoshop editing, and occasional VERY very light video editing (nothing complex at all).
From what I can tell, despite being older, the RX580 is the better choice for my Machine 1.
Can anyone confirm for me?
Thank you, in advance.
