Question Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 8GB Artifacting. What are the possible causes?

Hey everyone, first time poster, long time reader.

I have the above card in a system I built a year ago. about a month ago, I started getting artifacting whenever I would play ANY game for longer than 30 minutes. It is at the store now being assessed, but after they ran Furmark they told me there was no fault on the card. I ran Furmark myself and had no issue what so ever, but the problem remains ONLY when playing games. Temps remain at about 45c at idle, and max out at 75c. I will attach photos of the problem. While my graphics card is in being assessed, is there anything else I could check?

My specs are:
i5 8400
ASRock B360 Pro4
8gb DDR4 2132mhz from memory
Sapphire Nitro+ RX580

Thats more like driver issue, download OCCT and run gpu test.

Thanks for the reply. I don't have the graphics card at the moment as it is in for assessment. But if they don't find anything, I'll try this out when I get it back.

I have uninstalled and reinstalled the drivers many times though. Including formatting the computer. But anything is worth a shot.

Worst can be bad VRAM modules. Or as Skynet said overheating.

Well if it's the VRAM then hopefully the manufacturer will pick this up. I don't know if it's caused by overheating as it does it at all temps. Is there anything else in the computer that could cause this?

I've ran Prime95 without any issue too, to ensure the cpu was not the culprit.

Your card is factory overclocked model.
Engine Clock Up to 1411 MHz, Boost
https://www.sapphiretech.com/en/consumer/nitro-rx-580-8g-g5

AMD reference clocks are
Boost Frequency Up to 1340 MHz
https://www.amd.com/en/products/graphics/radeon-rx-580

Downclock it to AMD reference clocks. If that doesn't fix your issues, then the card is damaged.

Oh sorry. It's been a long day. It's been sent to the manufacturer to be assessed so if they can't find the issue I'll give it a go.

Underclocking won't void the warranty will it?

Furmark test might not show up the problem if its with the vram.

No underclocking wont void the warranty, but you should return it for a new one if its not stable at the factory OC speeds.

Oh ok. Well the manufacturer should be able to pick that up I would think.

Yeah I tried to get them to exchange it before they sent it off for further testing, but because furmark didn't show anything try don't believe there is a fault.
