Hi,
Upgraded my GPU to Pulse 6700 XT. Playing Starfield, med settings, 1440p.
My temps hover around 61/64 degrees, and my fan is 1700rpm at 61 degrees, and 1800/2000rpm at 63/64. My hotspot is usually 18/20 degrees above (ie. 80-84).

I made a fan curve via adrenaline, as default fan curve didnt seem to work that well.
I have fan curve set as follows ref fan speed/temp
P1 15 SPEED TEMP 30, .. P2 20 SPEED TEMP 45, .. P3 25 SPEED 70 TEMP, .. P4 50 SPEED TEMP 90, .. P5 100 SPEED 95 TEMP

The first 2 above (P1/P2) could really be ignored, as they are within the ZERO RPM part of the curve. If going by my fan curve it should theoritcally be 25 percent speed at 70 degrees, but I am hitting well over that. I assume 3000RPM is max for the Pulse?

My fan curve is not that aggressive, is that why? should I ramp up the fan speed at lower temps.
No worries about noise from fans, sometimes hear them ramp up a bit, but fan noise not excessive at all.

CPU is 5600X - normally in game temperature is around 61-65 sometimes hits 70 for a second or two (when loading new area)

Are my fan speeds satisfactory for those temps i.e. 61deg at 1700rpm, and 63/64 deg at 2000rpm? Thanks

I would try using a different tweak utility, such as Sapphire Trixx or MSI Afterburner. Just keep in mind that all GPU tweak utilities MUST remain open and running in order for their tweaks including changes to fan profiles, to remain in effect. It can be reduced to the system tray, but if you close it and that goes for ANY of the GPU tweak utilities, it will immediately revert to default stock fan behavior.

Hi, I will give MSI Afterburner a go. I cant use the fan control aspect of TRIXX as it is only for certain GPU's.
Only thing with MSI Afterburner is it wont let you monitor hotspot temp as well. Thanks for yr info.

I like to use HWinfo for ALL sensor monitoring anyhow regardless of whether it's motherboard, VRM, CPU, GPU, memory or whatever. More accurate than pretty much any other utility. Much more frequently updated, religiously in fact. Also gives far more data than any tweak or OEM monitoring utility.
