I just recently purchased a Sapphire Pulse RX 580 8GB card.

I installed the card.
Connected the 8-pin adapater to power.
The computer posts properly.
Drivers were installed using DDU to remove the old software. Then, card settings were set to default using the Radeon Software.
The Radeon Software was set up to the default GAMING settings when asked Gaming/e-sports/Custom.
I believe the card itself is being underpowered, but, I do not know how to adjust the voltage safely to fix the issue.

Further, here's the system specs:

This is pulled from Speccy:

Well, while generally Thermaltake has issues, the Toughpower is mentioned as a good one. The 10 year warranty does make it clear that Thermaltake has faith in the Toughpower PSUs.

I wouldn't worry about crossfire, though - SLI and Crossfire are dying technologies, and few, if any, modern games support it. Still, extra headroom for a PSU never hurts.

EDIT: but once you install the Thermaltake, let us know if the problems go away. I'm PRETTY sure this is what it comes down to, but there's always that slight chance of something else being at issue. Even if that turns out to be the case, it's definitely better to have the new PSU.
I cleaned it up a bit more. But I need there to be enough technical specifications so people have a full accounting of my system's setup.

Thank you reading reviews on PSU looks like many people having faults with this brand of psu and on psu says Compatible with Core i7, i5 anyway hope people help you with this thread and good luck trying to get it to work but i think could be PSU yes its 750W but do not trust it with the reviews just read!

Rosewill's PSUs are mostly not that good. It's not necessarily about the wattage, but about the quality of the PSUs internals. That it has a 1 year parts/3 year labor warranty is concerning (and confusing, I don't think I've ever seen separate durations for parts vs labor on a power supply before), and tells me that the manufacturer has little faith in their product.

If possible, I'd try with a known high quality PSU, and see if you get better results. The first link in my sig has a writeup that gives recommendations and explanations.

I have had this power supply for 7 years with zero problems. Now, that being said...this could possibly explain the issues I was having with my R9 270X also...so it may be time to consider this part for replacement...but I DON'T WANNA...ughhhh.

I would really change that PSU if it 7 years even if you do not want to because one day that will fail and take your parts with it so could mean that PSU could be failing and would get new PSU to test it and known brand good one!

And after testing further, I have found a causation so far. So I play World of Warcraft and I don't normally tax settings to their max. But, to further test my GPU, I ran a dungeon with a 5-man group on 7 / 10 for graphics settings. Then, after getting out of said dungeon. I went into the graphics settings and turned it up to 10. Right as I applied the settings for 10 which enabled every graphics feature possible, the system shut down and reboot. I'm 99% certain it's a power supply.

Yeah, definitely power supply. And at that age, far beyond its warranty period, I'd look at getting a reputable one.

Take a look at the first link in my sig - the write-up in there offers a good analysis of PSUs to trust vs what to avoid. A good PSU will cost more (and it's even worse now with the tariffs and the pandemic), but it's a safety device. Safety in terms of providing your parts with clean, STABLE power, and safety in terms of, if something goes wrong, does the PSU
  • simply fail?
  • fail and take out other (expensive) parts with it?
  • catch fire?

The PSU is something you really want to be able to never have to think about once you install it.

Given your current specs, you don't need 750W. From one of the good models, even a 550W would be plenty.

I realize that the current setup doesn't require such a large power supply, but, I'm planning ahead if I decide to crossfire two cards together or add other hardware later that is more power intense. I'm giving myself room to grow.

I went with this. I realize that the link you recommended did not recommend Thermaltake power supplies, but, this one surprisingly has been reviewed very positive and the 10 year warranty is insane.

Yeah I'll keep you updated as to how it's doing. Thanks for the advice!
