I have a odd one My game just started giving me a warning when I turn iton.
"Battery has gone dry game can be played but time based events will not
function." how can I fix this or can it be fixed?

That's odd. From what I know about the batteries that allow for saved
games, they should last long after you've completely lost interest in
the game. My step-brother got a Startropics game for our old NES
recently, and we can still access the save files. That game has to be,
like, twenty years old. It's outlived my cat!

My son had the same problem with his Ruby version. It happened after only a
few months. The only solution was to return it for a new one. It hasn't
happened since. You'll have to start again though, unless you transfer your
existing Pokemon to another cartridge.

Alternatively, if it's out of warranty, you could try taking it apart and
replace the battery yourself. I have no idea if this is possible. The
battery may be specially made for the cartridges.
