Sapphire R9 290

Hello everyone,

I am having some trouble with my recently purchased Sapphire R9 290.
My pc speccs are:
AMD Phenom II X4 B55
Ballistix 4,00GB Single-Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz (7-12-12-30)
ASRock M3A790GMH/128M
Seasonic 750

My pc randomly freezes, no matter what I do, browsing, playing... I have checked every possible solution on the internet. Drivers, Bios, everything. I dont know what's faulty. Before that, I had AMD 6850 and everything worked fine. The card is also tested and its fine. Is there any possible conflict between mobo and gpu? Any ideas?

I would check for a bios update for the motherboard. Did you do a full driver and utility uninstall and then a clean driver install for the r9-290?

Its a clean install. My mobo is 5 years old. Thats why I dont know if there is any conflict between them.

There shouldnt be any conflict. Pcie is fully backwards compatible. Bios updates or chipset drivers updates would be where i would start.
How long has it been since a clean windows install?
