sapphire r9 290x oc under load temp prob??

i bought a sapphire r9 290x gaming yesterday.
my room temps is around 28 degrees and my casing has decent airflow.
i am running default mode (1040mhz clock)
i ran some benchmarks such as metro last light,Crysis 3, Sleeping dogs,watch dogs assasin creed unity,Uniengine Valley and Firestrike.

now the temps i got in benchmarks were ranging from 78 degrees to 82 degrees

so my question is am i safe? should i be alarmed or is this normal?

Yes that temps is fine. They can handle up to 95C but that gpu cooler shouldn't reach that high above 90C.
