Hi guys, first ever post here but need some help. I am looking to buy a Sapphire R9 270x 2GB graphics card for my PC and I want to run 3 monitors which I already have (not all set up yet)
There is 1x LG E2242 22" Monitor with only a VGA connector on it, and the other 2 are LG 22EA53 which have DVI, HDMI and VGA. Is it possible to use EyeFinity with these without using the DisplayPort?

Sadly no,its not the cards fault.
Typical graphics cards only produce Two clock frequencies that keep sync(or try to) with monitors. DisplayPort doesnt use this clock, thats why its required in 3-monitor setups.

I do now...
Wonder how sapphire got ahead of the marketing schemes that kept companies from cramming more than 2 clock generators in one card to begin with.

If you have a flex card, all of this has been for naught! lol

After further reading I've learned the Sapphire r7 260x 2xDVI can run 3 monitors without utilizing DisplayPort.
Wish i had known that before i bought the Single DVI version...

Ah, well you must definitely be angry! :( This is an interesting one, as it isn't actually labelled as Flex! Surely they would note that as it is their signature thing?! Its a toss up for me between this and the HD 7790 1GB, as the R7 260X has 2GB which would make me favor it, however on videocardbenchmark.net the 7790 Scores higher. Also, they are both 128-bit...

"this" is?
Between the 260x and the 7790,definitely go for the 260x. It's a bit more powerful and it has TrueAudio which is amazing and will be even more so when its implemented in more than Thief.

Sorry lack of though process there, the HD 7790 and the R7 260X. The 260X is definitely newer and has double the ram, but the same 128-bit channel. BUT, the 7790 scores higher on benchmarking tests?
