Sapphire Radeon 5970 Problems

Hi guys

I've been having some frame rate problems with my Sapphire Radeon 5970. When playing Dead island 2 I get 40 fps and Deus ex I get round 65. I just installed my other gpu (MSI Geforce 275) and I'm getting like 100 fps in Dead Island and 90-100 in Deus ex.

My rig is as follows:

Intel core i7 930 2.8ghz
Corsair Dominator 2 x 3 1600
Asus Rampage Gene 2 Mb
Corsair 850W HX Eps Modular

Has any1 out there experienced the same problems? Certainly my PSU is sufficient to run the Radeon 5970? I also always use the latest GPU drivers. Do you guys think the Radeon is faulty? Please help!!!

did you completely uninstall the nvdia drivers?

what OS are you using ? what resolution are you playing at ? is it the first time to have such a drop in FPS ?

Hey guys! The problem was tied to the Catalyst drivers I was using. I re-instlaled my drivers I got with my Radeon and now everything is running at peek efficiency..very weird imo..but thanks!

great, just stick with the latest AMD drivers
